I usually only write review articles when a new volume is released, but since this should be a special chapter, I’m writing a review.

Preface: A Disclaimer
This article was written on the day before “Shonen Ace August 2026 issue” was released, with the expectation that Chapter 109 would be Miria’s first night.
However, to get straight to the point, this chapter turned out not to be the first night itself, but rather the preparation chapter leading up to it.
As a result, this might seem oddly enthusiastic, but please understand without any misreading that this is not the first night chapter — it is the preparation chapter, the chapter right before that moment.
Summary and Review
Summary: After finishing their bath, Michio Kaga and the others engage in intimate activities.
It seems Sherry has become quite fond of the more intense side of things — she lets out her moans without any trace of embarrassment, which is wonderful.
And the time with Miria, where they communicate using broken words without Roxanne’s translation, is endearingly charming. It was more than enough to build anticipation for the next chapter — my excitement was fully primed.
So, the main event with Miria will be next chapter. This time it really has to be next chapter.
Bonus: Intervals Between Key Events for Each Member
A single-chapter review would make for a thin article, so this time I personally looked into and summarized the intervals between milestone events — such as the first meetings with Roxanne and the others. Depending on how you look at it, you could also call it “how long we’ve been kept waiting.” Note that for members before Miria, the volume editions don’t include the original serialization chapter numbers, so I counted from chapter 1… but the counted result came out 2 chapters higher than the serialized numbers, so please take the absolute values with a grain of salt.
Chapter Numbers for Key Events by Member
Roxanne
- First Meeting: Chapter 3 (Volume 1 - Chapter 3: Roxanne ①)
- Joining the Party: Chapter 9 (Volume 2 - Chapter 5: Reward ③)
- Bath: Chapter 11 (Volume 2 - Chapter 6: Double ②) At this point they were living at an inn, so strictly speaking it was not a bath
- First Night: Chapter 12 (Volume 2 - Chapter 6: Double ③)
Sherry
- First Meeting: Chapter 37 (Volume 6 - Chapter 16: Sherry ①)
- Joining the Party: Chapter 38 (Volume 6 - Chapter 16: Sherry ②)

- First Night: Chapter 110? (Planned for Volume 13 - Chapter 28: Miria ⑬?) Prediction
Summary
For members before Miria, the major milestone — the first night chapter — came just one chapter after the bath chapter. But for Miria, it looks like there will be a gap of three chapters. You could say it’s quite the drawn-out tease.
However, the reason for this extended gap is not just editorial policy — as the volumes progress, each chapter has gotten shorter, and the number of chapters per volume has increased, which is also likely a contributing factor.
For reference, here is the table of chapter counts per volume that I used when counting the chapter numbers above.
| Volume | Chapters | Total |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 5 | 5 |
| 2 | 7 | 12 |
| 3 | 7 | 19 |
| 4 | 6 | 25 |
| 5 | 7 | 32 |
| 6 | 6 | 38 |
| 7 | 8 | 46 |
| 8 | 10 | 56 |
| 9 | 10 | 66 |
| 10 | 11 | 77 |
| 11 | 12 | 89 |
| 12 | 12 | 101 |
In other words, at the time Roxanne and Sherry were introduced, volumes had around 6 chapters each, but now they contain 12. So it is naturally a trend that the gap between the bath and first night chapters would be longer than before.
Honestly though, the predictions don’t really matter. Every time I read Hyouju Issei-sensei’s author comments in each issue of Shonen Ace, my only thought is “please take care of yourself.” I just hope they draw at their own pace without pushing too hard — that’s ultimately what I want to say.
Closing
Even if you’re a volume reader, I highly recommend picking up this issue of Shonen Ace to read the chapter right before the milestone, and building up your excitement ahead of what’s to come.
Here’s the latest volume, Vol. 12!
See you next time.
