'Isekai Meikyuu De Harem Wo' Volume 12 Review

I enjoyed this new volume, the first in almost a year since Vol. 11 was released on February 26, 2025. These are my impressions.

Synopsis

Miria of the catfolk joins Michio Kaga’s party as its third member.

Bonus Pages

The highlights of this series’ tankobon are the uncensored content and the now-customary bonus pages that began somewhere along the way, so let’s jump straight into those.

Among the episodes collected in the volume, the spicy scenes are “A Quick Bath with Roxanne” in Chapter 96 (Part 27: Thieves IV) and “Being with Roxanne” in the landmark Chapter 100 (Part 28: Miria III).

And the one that got those bonus pages is… Chapter 100!

Readers who followed the serialization probably sensed it: the bonus starts right after they take a break to hydrate and Roxanne says, “Let’s go until we’re exhausted.”

From here it was incredible.

Roxanne’s hunger, born from fear that Michio’s love might wane as the party grows, and Michio Kaga’s determination to meet her head-on with full strength are depicted in full.

I’d thought their ways of loving each other had mostly been exhausted by now—Sherry is here too, so why not mix it up with more three-way play? I was naive.

What follows is ten extra pages (!) of fixed-camera angles, cleanup, cleanup proof, and intense pressing… it’s astounding. There’s no way a magazine bearing the word “shonen” like Shonen Ace could ever run this. Only those who buy the volume get to witness it.

Since the very start of this comic adaptation I’ve thought Hyouju Issei’s official art is unbelievable. Within the constraints of a shonen magazine, he still pulls off this level of expression; if Hyouju Issei ever got the green light to release an adult version of Isekai Meikyuu De Harem Wo, what would it be like? Just imagining it fills me with bliss.

That’s as far as words can go. Buy the comic and see the real thing with your own eyes.

Other Notes

Miria joins the party in this volume, but her first night is saved for the next. That might actually be a plus.

If memory serves, the addition of bonus pages separate from the uncensoring started around Vol. 9, some time after Sherry joined, meaning there were no bonus pages at all for the first night of Roxanne and Sherry.

A first night is a major event, so if there are bonus pages, that scene will almost certainly be the target. Since Miria’s first night will be in Vol. 13, there’s a high chance it will get the bonus treatment, and that’s exciting.
